Hallo allemaal,

Gisteren op consult geweest bij Prof. DML en volgende testen zijn aangevraagd:

Borrelia Elispot LTT (via Infectolab)

Via Red Labs:
CD57
Bartonella spp. (DNA)
Bartonella A1 (serum)
Esat-6

Heeft er iemand extra info over de laatste test? Prof. DML vermoedt dat ik een bepaalde darmbacterie heb die mijn Crohnopstoten veroorzaakt. Indien ik positief test, is een AB behandeling van enkele maanden noodzakelijk.

Het zou hier gaan om een Australisch project.

Via internet of het forum nog maar weinig of geen info gevonden dus hoop ik dat hier iemand over extra informatie beschikt.

hallo hildeke

ik vermoed dat hij je wil testen op intestinal tuberculosis dat soms al eens verward wordt met crohn. De diagnose is moeilijk te stellen maar ESAT-6 wordt gebruikt als test bij tuberculose. Het is een proteine dat reageert als je met de bacterie in aanraking bent gekomen. Vandaar mijn vermoeden.

Intestinal/abdominal tuberculosis is inderdaad met enkele maanden AB te behandelen.

Ik heb dit even opgezocht op internet en de symptomen komen wel overeen met de huidige klachten.
Weet je toevallig ook of dit besmettelijk is zoals bij infectie van de longen?

Op eerste zicht lijkt vooral actieve pulmonaire TBC echt besmettelijk en zwangere moeders kunnen het ook doorgeven. Meer info wellicht te vinden op google onder

Abstract

Thirteen cases of inflammatory bowel disease suspected to be intestinal tuberculosis are analyzed. In nine, the diagnosis was established from such criteria as caseation necrosis, positive acid-fast stains or cultures of the diseased tissue.

In four others, enteric tuberculosis remained a diagnostic possibility as judged by the following criteria: coexistence of the bowel lesion with established tuberculosis elsewhere, a clear response to antituberculous chemotherapy, or typical features on roentgenographic, surgical or histologic examination.

The patients with intestinal tuberculosis were not necessarily recent immigrants or poor, nor did they have coexistent active pulmonary disease. Although most exhibited classic features of intestinal tuberculosis, the diagnosis was rarely considered at first. A greater awareness of the entity is needed to avoid confusion between intestinal tuberculosis and Crohn's disease.

Bij mij zou deze ook getest worden omdat mijn pa sarcoidose herft gehad in de longen. En dat kan dus ook een uiting zijn daarvan. Alleen was Red Labs toen nog niet zo ver. Zal ze eerdaags ns bellen, blijkbaar kunnen ze het nu dus wel.
