Kleding voelt als schuurpapier
Ik heb al meer dan 15 jaar ME, maar sinds een half jaar is 1 klacht veel erger geworden: mijn kleding voelt steeds meer als schuurpapier, ook de gladde kleding. Als het zo doorgaat, kan ik snel geen kleding meer aan.
In de afgelopen half jaar heb ik een nieuwe wasmachine gekocht, maar aangezien ook nieuwe kleding zo aanvoelt, zal dat het niet zijn. Ik gebruik al Neutral wasmiddel. Voordat ik ziek werd, had ik al snel jeuk bij bijv. wolproducten.
Mijn vraag aan jullie: herkennen jullie deze klacht en weten julie ook wat ik er aan kan doen?

Ja, ik herken dit wel. De ene periode is het erger dan de andere keer.
Het enige advies dat ik je kan geven is wijde kleding en van zo zacht mogelijke stof.
Ik loop veel in trainingsbroeken. Spijkerbroeken e.d. hoef ik me niet aan te wagen.
Mijn "geluk" is dat het niet altijd even slecht is. Maar echt een oplossing voor je heb ik helaas niet.

Ik spuit al jaren minimaal 2 x per week B12, maar zelfs bij mij komt die irritatie door kleding regelmatig voor. Ook een aanraking kan b.v. onwijs pijnlijk zijn, maar gelukkig heb ik het niet altijd. Hoewel ik ook alleen nog maar 'zachte' kleding draag....

Kleding voelt als schuurpapier
zelf merk ik dat ik ook niet tegen wol zo kan, wel als ik een t-shirt er onder aan trek met lange mouwen. maar ik merk ook dat ik niet tegen geen edelmetaal kan. dus bij een spijkerbroek heb ik meteen een probleem bij de knopen.
maar lekkere wijde kleding is heerlijk.
maar misschien is het een idee om een tijdje te proberen zonder waspoeder en wasverzachter te wassen. kijk eens wat daar uit komt.
en schuurpapier had ik op me ellebogen, toen bleven mijn truien ook haken bij die schuurpapier gedeelte, smerig gevoel was dat. maar is nu weg gelukkig.

Bedankt voor jullie reacties. Die vit. B12 moet ik maar een keer laten meten en een paar keer zonder wasmiddel wassen is misschien ook een idee.
En verder moet ik nog beter op mijn grenzen letten, want hoe meer ik over mijn grens ga, hoe erger het wordt. Een week of langer daarna neemt het weer af.
Ik heb ook gehoord dat wat ik heb 'neuropathie heet: overgevoeligheid van de zenuwen. En dit kan verschillende oorzaken hebben. Toch maar even overleggen met mijn behandelend arts.
Als er nog meer adviezen zijn: ik hou me aanbevolen.

Altijd gehad eigenlijk, maar het is er alleen maar erger op geworden.
Het enige wat een heel klein beetje helpt is voorkomen dat mijn huid te veel uitdroogt.
Goed smeren met vochtinbrengende lotion dus, hoe vermoeiend dat ook is...

Het enige wat een heel klein beetje helpt is voorkomen dat mijn huid te veel uitdroogt.

Vitamine B6 ineens mee laten testen (werkt samen met B12). Ik heb altijd winterhanden ook al is het zomer. Sinds kort ontdekt dat het een vitaminetekort was.

Ik wil even laten weten hoe het met mijn klacht is gegaan, omdat het wellicht van nut is voor één van jullie.
De klacht blijkt hyperesthesie te heten, en komt er op neer dat niet pijnlijke prikkels door de hersenen als pijn worden ervaren ('centrale sensitisatie'). Het probleem ligt dus niet in de huid (waar ik het wel voel), maar in te lage drempels waar de hersenen alarm bij slaan. De neuroloog heeft wel eerst via een MRI vastgesteld dat het probleem niet lag in vochtophopingen in de zenuwbaan van m'n ruggengraat. Zijn oplossing: die drempels ophogen d.m.v. bijv. meditatie, mindfulness of ontspanningsoefeningen. Als dat niet genoeg is (bijv. omdat de oorzaak van de centrale sensitisatie niet is weggenomen; in het geval van ME: de overmatige oxidatieve stress van ons), dan zijn er medicijnen voor: amitriptilyne, pregabaline en duloxetine. Alle drie werken het best tegen pijnklachten (ook fibromyalgie) in lage doseringen. In hoge doseringen zijn dit middelen tegen depressie of epilepsie).
Bij mij werkt amitriptyline (10 mg) behoorlijk goed, maar mijn ME-klachten (vooral POTS en verzuring) worden er erger van. Dus ik ga komende maand overstappen op pregabaline.
Als 1 van jullie ervaring hebben met 1 van deze 3 middelen hoor ik dat graag.

Volgens mij zijn er hier meerderen die amytriptiline gebruiken. O.a. voor restless legs, slaapproblemen. Misschien willen die hier wel hun ervaring met dit middel delen.

- selenium, vit C om de extra vrije radicalen die in methylatie circuleren op te vangen
- Q10 om de energie aangemaakt door methylatie (B12 en foliumcyclus) in de mitochondrieën draaiende te houden

Marlène u zei dat hydroxyB12 en cyanoB12 twee inactieve vormen zijn van vit B12. Ze doen wel de waarde van stijgen maar herstellen geen neurologische schade. Daarvoor moet je methylB12 en dibencozideB12 nemen tezamen met folaat.
Maar weet DML dit dan niet? Ik krijg HyrdoxyB12.
Kun je de methyl en dibencozide en folaat zo krijgen bij apotheker?Maar je moet ze dan zien in te spuiten of heb je het ook in pilvorm?
