oja, ik heb ziekte van pfeifer gehad, een candida albicans, galblaasproblemen, testte strong positive op urinetest van dr de merleir, heb neurologische problemen, evenwichtsstoornis, voedselintollerantie, rare exceemvormen, autorijden lukt niet, concentratieproblemen met tics/spiersamentrekkingen, ga bij oververmoeidheid vaak stotteren en heb dan spastische nek.
maargoed dat zal dan allemaal ook wel met cognitieve therapie op te lossen zijn en absoluut psygisch zijn ondanks dat dit medisch aantoonbaar is...

Ik neem aan dat DML hier ook op gaat testen gezien dezelfde gemeenschappelijke wetenschappelijke uitgangspunten (Rnase-L etc) en ik meen dat Peterson en DML ook bv hebben samengewerkt inzake de oprichting van RedLabs in Nevada, goede contacten dus.Thousands of patients have already contacted scientists, asking to be tested, said Dr. Judy Mikovits, the first author of the study and the research director at the Whittemore Peterson Institute in Reno, a research center created by the parents of a woman who has the syndrome. Heard Through the Grapevine: Test kit for XMRV to be available from Reno-based VIP Dx (Viral Immune Pathology Diagnostics)
Rumor on the ProHealth Message Boards has it that Viral Immune Pathology Diagnostics (VIP Dx) in Reno, Nevada (www.redlabsusa.com), will soon make available a test kit for the XMRV virus - the retrovirus which most of the world knows by now is thought to be a biomarker for a large proportion of chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) patients.
According to the buzz, ME/CFS patients & their physicians will be able to order VIP Dx kits as soon as pricing is established – and that should be Friday, Oct 16, according to a ProHealth ME/CFS Message Board user who has already arranged to receive a kit when they become available for shipment. According to her, “They send it to you by FedEx and you have to have a Dr. sign off and take it to a lab. [VIP Dx] pays for it to be sent back.”
According to the initial news about this - posted Oct 9 on the CFS Warrior blog (http://cfswarrior.blogspot.com), there is “a PCR test for the XMRV virus itself. Another test kit recommended by Dr. Paul Cheney is the NKCP & LYEA test… If you want to be tested call the lab at 775-351-1890 and they will ship out a kit to you. Your doctor has to sign off, then take it to a local lab to get the test done and then it gets shipped overnight back to VIP Labs. It takes about two weeks to get the results. The woman I spoke to was very nice. They are swamped with calls but expected it.”
VIP Dx is the new name of the former REDLABS USA, launched years ago with the assistance of Belgium-based ME/CFS researcher Dr. Kenny De Meirleir, who has no financial interest in the venture. It was named after De Meirleir’s own R.E.D. Laboratories, a biotechnology company in Belgium focused on “developing clinical diagnostic tests and therapies for chronic immune diseases.” VIP Dx is located geographically near the Whittemore-Peterson Institute, which is part of the University of Nevada, Reno. VIP’s medical director - Dr. Vincent Lombardi, PhD – was recently hired from the UN-Reno School of Medicine, and reportedly played a role in the WPI testing.

Niet iedere ME patient met het XMRV virus heeft verhoogde RnaseL waarde of lage NK cellen in zijn bloed om besmet te kunnen worden met het virus. Het onderzoek en bevindingen zijn vastgesteld door 3 verschillende laboratoriums en de patienten groep was genomen vanuit geheel amerika.
XMRV is strongly linked to patients with ME/CFS. This initial finding was confirmed in three different laboratories, the National Cancer Institute, the Cleveland Clinic and the Whittemore Peterson Institute. Patient samples were donated from different locations around the US. This was not one cohort. All patients met the Fakuda and Canadian definitions for CFS and the study included age and sex matched controls with zip codes but Science did not feel that information was important to this publication. Not all patient samples that were positive had the biological markers of low NK cell function and RNase L defect.
The importance of this finding is two fold. One that XMRV is an infectious retrovirus found in significant numbers in the blood of people who are ill with CFS and only in a very few without symptoms of ME/CFS. Number two is that it was found in 4% of healthy controls which means that 10 million Americans may be infected with this retrovirus.
What you ultimately call this disease is not important. We must now try to understand how this virus is acquired and how that relates to disease and immune deficiencies. Human infectious retroviruses are not ubiquitous or benign. This virus should not be confused with benign endogenous retroviral particles that we all have in our genome. This is only the third human infectious retrovirus found to be replicating in the blood of humans to date, the other two are HIV and HTLV-1 & 2. It is a gamma retrovirus not a lenti retrovirus which means it is a simple vs. a complex retrovirus.

o de ironie van dit gegeven. eerst stellen we ons aan en gaat het om een ziekte die in ons hoofd zit en niet bestaat, straks is iedereen bang voor ons. bang om besmet te worden met dit voor velen angstaanjagende virus en zijn we wederom de outcast van de samenleving.
volgens mij is het lot in bezit van een erg sarcastisch gevoel voor humor.
